PUPPY CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Shawn leads multiple classes each week at Baldivis Veterinary Hospital, offering both puppy preschools and an advanced life skills program, often described as a canine high school. After moving to Perth in 2022, Shawn joined a prestigious program at Perth Zoo, where he studied care and training techniques for a variety of species. He has since integrated this extensive knowledge with his qualifications in canine behaviour and training to create his innovative puppy preschool and high school programs.

Shawn’s classes seamlessly combine cutting-edge animal training techniques with a profound understanding of canine cognition, providing both dogs and their owners with an exceptional start to their journey together.

Beyond his roles as a dog trainer and veterinary nurse, Shawn is deeply passionate about wildlife conservation. He has been part of an international veterinary team involved in animal relocations and snake removals in Africa. Additionally, he competes in ANKC Sheepdog trials with his Kelpie, Darcy, who found a loving home with Shawn after several previous ones.
